Position: Field Service Engineer

Location: Upstate, NY (can live anywhere from Albany to Rochester)
Description: Will perform product and applications support activities for the purpose of maintaining equipment and ensuring customer satisfaction. This would include installing, maintaining and repairing analytical instruments at customer sites, training users in software applications and correct equipment operation and maintenance and providing scheduled and unscheduled corrective maintenance for customers including warranty services.

Requirements: Good electrical or electronics background/experience. Must have knowledge of  Resistors, DC Motors, Diodes, Electronic Components, Ohm’s Law, Fuses, AC Circuits, Steeper Motors, Series & Parallel Circuits.
Compensation: $90K-$110K annually ($70K-$75K base salary + commissions available at $50-$150 a job – some FSE’s do an average of 80 preventative maintenance jobs a quarter = an extra $4,000 – $12,000 a quarter).
Travel: Average of 4 overnights per week M-F (combination of airline and road travel)

Description: Will provide program support by brining hands-on Fleet experience with submarine combat systems translating operational knowledge into engineering, testing, and lifecycle support activities. Will work in secure government facilities and collaborate closely with engineers, operators and industry partners to advance next-generation Navy combat systems.
